From the beginning of our trip I wrote already four books about our adventures and two more close to end. But the most difficult, as I discovered, is to translate texts from Russian to English. Some enthusiasts, who tried to help, don't know one of the languages well. But who is perfect in translation wants too much money, up to 25 cents per word. Can you imagine, just to translate my few words for my treasure Irene: "I love you, honey!" - it's already cost a buck? And, of course, very expensive to publish our books. But what money can a sailor make, who continuously travels from port to port?
After years of searching for translator I found, that my English is improving and once I sit with dictionary and translated first third of my book about our lovely cat Koozya. And some of our friends helped to polish my rough English. And after we paid thousands and thousands to publisher? That's how our first book appeared "A Salty AmeriCat". Soon will come "A Salty AmeriCat-2", "Cat-3"?
Here we offer to you Prologue and Chapter 1 of our first book. Irene drew all illustrations, I took photos and made the design of book.
